Procedure

What is gynecomastia?

Gynecomastia is abnormally developed male breast tissue and/or fat accumulation. It can cause both psychological and physical discomfort.

For many men, chest shape is directly tied to self-confidence — gynecomastia surgery provides this relief.

The surgical method includes only liposuction, only tissue excision, or a combination of both depending on the case. Scars are usually very small and hidden around the nipple.

II
Techniques

Method selection.

The most suitable technique for the patient is selected among the main approaches below:

01

With Liposuction

If only fat is present (pseudo-gynecomastia). The least invasive method.

02

Tissue Excision

For true glandular tissue. Small incision under the nipple.

03

Combined

For both fat and glandular tissue — the most commonly applied method.

III
Candidates

Who is a candidate?

Suitable for men who have stabilised after puberty and have noticeable excess on the chest.

  • Post-puberty stable weight and tissue
  • Significant chest shape discomfort
  • Healthy non-smokers
  • Realistic expectations
  • Underlying hormonal cause investigated

Note: Sudden-onset gynecomastia must be hormonally evaluated first. Some medications may also cause it.
